Prof. Piero Baglioni took a prominent role as a rapporteur at the First General Assembly of the “Belt and Road Cultural Heritage Global Alliance” from October 26th to 28th, 2023. This significant event, held in Xi’an and online, aimed to foster cultural heritage protection research, scientific collaboration, and cultural exchanges along the “Belt and Road.”
As a representative of GREENART, Prof. Baglioni shared key accomplishments and insights. He reported on nanomaterials for cultural heritage consolidation and cutting-edge nanosystems for artifact cleaning. These contributions align with the alliance’s mission of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits.
The Belt and Road initiative, a Chinese Government plan promoting infrastructure development across Eurasia and Northeast Africa, signifies a collaborative effort towards global cultural heritage preservation.
