Our latest scientific publication by Abdelrazek Elnaggar, titled Nine principles of green heritage science: life cycle assessment as a tool enabling green transformation delves into the emerging tool of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and its potential in advancing green heritage science. LCA is a standardized, comprehensive environmental assessment tool rapidly evolving in various sectors to inform environmentally-friendly solutions and choices.
This literature review demonstrates LCA’s applicability as a decision-support tool in heritage science, addressing both micro and macro-level questions related to conservation and preservation actions. Additionally, the paper explores the challenges associated with implementing lifecycle-based methods in heritage science and offers recommendations for greener and more sustainable practices.
